Springtime is for Aufguss
So much happening in the world of aromas and towel waving this month
May is a busy month for Aufguss1. I kicked things off with a visit to Denver to practice in person with my teammate Alycia Wong. We’re competing in the Show Aufguss category at the 2026 USA Aufguss National Championships in NYC later this month. Our performance, which lasts about 15 minutes in the sauna, is quite the production with a full musical score, lighting, and of course towel-waving choreography. Without giving it all away, I’ll just say we’re both fangirls of a certain hockey romance and things are going to heated. We’re performing at 12pm on May 19th at the new Atlantic Ave BATHHOUSE location. Join us by purchasing a morning ticket via the Aufguss USA website.
I’m getting very nervous about the whole thing, so please send all the good vibes my way. Those show towel moves are no joke…
But before I head to the city, I’ll be heading upstate to Saratoga Springs where I’m performing an Aufguss on a floating sauna for the first time. Thankfully S.P.A. just dropped a watery playlist that I’m going to take inspiration from. And since it’s nearly Mother’s Day, you can count on lots of divine feminine inspiration in this one. Catch me at KOS on Saturday May 9th at 4pm. Register for one spot and bring a friend for 50% off with code ShareMay9.
This coming Tuesday I’ll be back to Hideout in Stamford. Not with my usual vibey “beats + heat” Aufguss but something a bit more elemental to celebrate women and mothers. We’re doing more guided meditation and enhancing our skin and hair in the heat with Saint Lucie Sauna Serum. It’ll be an opportunity to pause and be present in good company.
Lots more happening later this month too, but truthfully, I’m just focusing on surviving through the competition.
Tschüss!
Sarah
